This weekend I’ll be hosting my first official house party. I’m quite excited but also nervous. I decided to make everything myself, which is a daunting task as I’ve never prepared a meal for so many people before

I’ve been racking my brain, my recipe index and my pinterest boards for inspiration for dishes. There’s about a million things I’d like to do, but I know I physically just won’t have the time. So I’m trying to concentrate on creative ideas that are also relatively stress-free.
One item I plan on serving is Iced Tea Sangria. This is my test-run, and I loved the result. It’s also super simple to put together. All you need is your favorite tea, either red or white wine, honey (or other liquid sweetener of your choice), and fresh chopped fruit. The initial idea was given to me by Art of Tea. Their version is more kid-friendly as it doesn’t have any alcohol, but I couldn’t imagine a sangria without alcohol so made an adults only version

I recently was sent some complimentary samples from Art of Tea. They even sent me a pretty pitcher to make their iced tea in. I’ve been using them whenever I have a large group over, like when my family was in town over Memorial weekend. I really enjoy all three fruit infused tea flavors I was given. I am going to be using the passionfruit jasmine this weekend at my house party.
I love sangrias, and this twist by adding iced tea is so delicious. I love how pretty these drinks come out with all the fruit in season now
